Shares subscribed with the Outokumpu Oyj 2003A and 2003B stock options and the increase in share capital

Between March 1, 2008 and May 5, 2008 a total of 38 208 shares have
been subscribed for with the 2003A stock options (FI0009629133) and
between March 1, 2008  and May 5, 2008 a total of 57 264 shares have
been subscribed for with the 2003B stock options (FI0009633671). As a
result of the share subscriptions the share capital of Outokumpu Oyj
has increased by EUR 162 302.40.

The increase in share capital has been entered into the Finnish trade
register on May 16, 2008 and the subscribed shares will be listed on
the OMX Nordic Exchange Helsinki and trading will commence along with
the old shares as of May 19, 2008.

The next filing of increase in share capital into the trade register
