FLIR Systems Announces Service Contract for Up to $60.5 Million From the U.S. Army
PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - May 20, 2008) - FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced
today that it has been awarded a Performance Based Logistics (PBL) support
contract for up to $60.5 million from the U.S. Army Space and Missile
Defense Command in Huntsville, Alabama. This contract provides for
service, upgrades, and logistics support for certain U.S. Army and USMC
programs. Current funding under the contract is $45.4 million. Including
deliveries made so far this year, revenue under this contract is not
expected to exceed $15 million in 2008.
Work under this contract will be incurred over time as required in support
of the installed base of Star SAFIRE® III and THV-3000 systems in use
under these programs.
