Legal Newsletters Dominate Newsletter Categories in 2008 According to "Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters"

NEW YORK CITY, NY--(Marketwire - June 24, 2008) - Legal newsletters top every other
category of newsletters in 2008, with 1,211 titles up from 1,125 in 2007,
according to the "Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters" (www.mediafinder.com).
The "Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters," 2008 Edition, was released today,
with 15,185 U.S. and Canadian newsletters listed.
In addition to the Legal category, other top categories are Computers &
Automation with 953 newsletters, up from 748 in 2007; and Investment with
915 newsletters, up from 685 in 2007. The Computers & Automation
newsletters continued to make a strong comeback in 2008, with many new
titles, including "E-Discovery Law Alert," "Executive Tech," and "Greener
IT." At the same time, Medical newsletters declined from 845 titles in
2007, to 813 in 2008, according to the "Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters."
The fastest growing newsletter category is Apparel & Accessories, jumping
66 percent from 18 newsletters to 30, from 2007 to 2008. Other fast-growing
newsletter categories in 2008 are Television & Video (78 to 107),
Investments (685 to 915), and Business & Industry (270 to 350).
"Newsletters are continuing to thrive, with many more accepting advertising
(3,726 carry ads) and renting subscriber lists (2,418) than ever before,"

newsletters compared to 1,310 online newsletters last year; and 3,046 email
newsletters in 2008, compared to 2,296 email newsletters last year.
