Central government payments gave a surplus in June

Central government payments in June gave a surplus of SEK 13.8 billion. The surplus was thus SEK 4.1 billion higher than the Debt Office's forecast.

Interest payments on central government debt were SEK 1.3 billion, which was SEK 0.2 billion higher than expected.

The surplus for the twelve-month period from July 2007 to June 2008 amounted to SEK 118 billion. Central government debt amounted to SEK 1 026 billion at the end of June.
