Patent Litigator Rowena Young Joins King & Spalding
REDWOOD SHORES, CA--(Marketwire - July 8, 2008) - King & Spalding, a leading international
law firm, announced today that Rowena Young, a patent litigator, has joined
the firm's intellectual property practice as counsel in its Silicon Valley
office in Redwood Shores, Calif. Young's arrival brings to over 30 the
total number of lawyers and patent agents in King & Spalding's Silicon
Valley and San Francisco offices.
Young joins King & Spalding from Atmel Corporation, a San Jose,
Calif.-based maker of semiconductors, where she served as director of
intellectual property. Previously, she was with Orrick, Herrington &
Sutcliffe. She earned a J.D. degree from Yale Law School, a master's degree
in physics from Cornell University and a B.S. degree in physics from
Stanford University. Young served as a law clerk in both the United States
District Court for the Southern District of Iowa and the United States
Courts of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C.
