Grasbrunn, near Munich, July 9, 2008 – In the first half and second quarter
of fiscal 2008, respectively, Wirecard AG managed to continue its
burgeoning growth trend.

Based on preliminary figures, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) in
the first half of 2008, at EUR 22.3 million, was up by 68 percent
year-on-year (1st half year of 2007: EUR 13.3 million). Consolidated sales
revenues increased by approx. 56 percent and, according to preliminary
calculations, amount to EUR 88.3 million (1st half of 2007: EUR 56.5
million).

In the second quarter of 2008, preliminary earnings before interest and
taxes (EBIT) amounted to EUR 12.2 million. Compared to the previous-year
quarter, with EBIT of EUR 7.3 million, this is equivalent to an increase of
approx. 67 percent. In the second quarter of 2008, Group sales revenues
compared with the previous quarter rose from EUR 29.9 million by approx. 59
percent, to EUR 7.5 million.
