ClassTop Announced as Recipient of fbFund for CourseFeed Application Built on Facebook(R) Platform

CourseFeed Allows Schools to Integrate Their Blackboard(R) Learning Management System With Facebook Platform

OREM, UT--(Marketwire - July 24, 2008) - ClassTop, Inc., an enterprise application provider targeting the postsecondary education market, today announced that the CourseFeed application, built on Facebook Platform, has been awarded a grant through Facebook's fbFund. The announcement was made today at f8, Facebook's annual developers' conference. The fbFund helps deliver on Facebook's mission to give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected. The grant will provide additional capital to help ClassTop further develop and market CourseFeed to colleges and universities across the country.

In an effort to grow the Facebook ecosystem, fbFund was introduced last year to provide resources to developers by eliminating some of the challenges of starting a company. Through fbFund, Facebook hopes to encourage entrepreneurs to build compelling businesses on Facebook Platform.

"We appreciate the opportunity to be part of Facebook's fbFund and for the recognition our application has received from the Facebook community," said Jared Allgood, CEO of ClassTop, Inc. "The grant is a compliment to our company and the people that developed CourseFeed into a user-friendly application that can further enhance students' ability to stay connected with classmates and professors outside the classroom."

CourseFeed is a free Learning Management System (LMS) plug-in that allows schools to safely and securely integrate their online LMS with Facebook. College and university students with Blackboard accounts will now be able to use CourseFeed to find and collaborate with classmates and receive updates on their Facebook profiles when professors post new announcements and assignments. CourseFeed is widely used on university campuses and was most recently deployed at Northeastern University where the school's Blackboard administrators integrated CourseFeed into the school's Blackboard LMS using the CourseFeed Building Block.

In 2007, Facebook launched Facebook Platform, a development platform that enables developers and entrepreneurs to integrate with Facebook and create meaningful social experiences for millions of users. With more than 80 million active users Facebook provides unparalleled potential for applications and the opportunity to build a business that is highly relevant to people's lives.
