HOLLYWOOD, FL--(Marketwire - August 4, 2008) - Ewire -- OXXO Care Cleaners®, the franchise
that has revolutionized the South Florida eco-garment cleaning market, has
opened five locations to cater to the New Jersey and Washington, D.C.
areas.
Ranked twice among Entrepreneur Magazine's prestigious 500 top franchises,
OXXO is noted for its personalized service, quality and convenience. The
upscale stores are set in a luxurious European boutique-style setting,
which feature on-site hand ironing and offer customers the convenience of
using a pre-paid card at an innovative 24/7 ATM-style pick-up and drop-off
machine.
"Our business model revolves around a lifestyle," says Salomon Mishaan,
OXXO's president and CEO. "Our clients need to get their clothes
dry-cleaned but also enjoy the service and environment."
OXXO also opted for the use of eco-friendly cleaning solvent "GreenEarth"
and targeted low energy consumption by abolishing industrial boilers and
vapor. The independently heated equipment allows for a clean, fresh and
healthy environment in the air-conditioned locations, do not produce
contaminating waste, and require less storage space.
"The equipment used by traditional dry cleaners is inherited from the
garment industry, using industrial steam presses which tend to damage
clothing and burn buttons," explains Mishaan, who opted for special
pressing Italian systems, which simulate the shape of mannequins and blow
hot air from within, molding them perfectly to the garment's original
shape.
OXXO has distinguished itself since the opening of its flagship store in
2003, and has grown to more than 26 franchises, including 21 in South
Florida, 3 in New Jersey and 2 in D.C.
In Washington, OXXO stores are located in Northwest Park Road (Columbus
Triangle, 1376) and Capitol Hill (405 8th Street, S.E.). In New Jersey, it
serves the communities of Matawan (Main Street Village, 237, Main Street),
Fair Lawn (Radburn Plaza, 14-49 Plaza Road) and Short Hills (622 Morris
Hill, Turnpike).
