The World Critical Resources Summit Announces More Than 300 Global Leaders to Convene at The Times Center Sept 2008

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - August 7, 2008) - More than 300 global leaders will convene for The World Critical Resources Summit September 5, 2008 at The Times Center in New York City. Expert insights from the United Nations to the U.S. Department of Energy will influence solutions about renewable energy, water, food, medicine, child health and shelter.

A new, online public forum will represent global conversations in advance of the conference at www.criticalresources.org/forum and registrations for the event are at www.criticalresources.org.

Although the conference will address how we can protect and expand our critical resources, the epicenter of debate will continue to be oil, explained William Loiry, president of Equity International and founder of the World Critical Resources Summit. "Protecting our world's critical resources means that we all take time to do our part. It will not be accomplished single-handedly but collectively by a culture that understands how important it is to proactively protect this planet," said Loiry.

Loiry, who is an expert is sustaining the Earth's critical resources, has been facilitating clean energy solutions and leading more than 10,000 government officials and corporate leaders via his organization's premier events. For more than 14 years, as the founder and president of Equity International, a Washington, D.C.-based business development firm, Loiry has pioneered U.S. - Russian business training programs, hosting more than 500 Russian oil and bank executives on business tours of the U.S. and has hosted high level homeland and global security forums in Washington D.C., featuring leaders from presidential administrations, the White House, Pentagon and Congress since 1998.

Loiry, currently a member of the Clinton Global Initiative with a focus on Energy and Climate Change, is a former U.S. Delegate to the Club of Rome international conference in Madrid in 2005 and was a U.S. Delegate to the World Economic Forum's Extraordinary Annual Meeting on the Dead Sea in Jordan in 2003.

Loiry's new website, CriticalResources.org, will be a sounding board for all who are interested in posting their proposed solutions for clean energy, clean water, sustainable food, attainable medicine and more. To see a full list of topics, please visit the site.
