Nonprofits Gain Data Intelligence, More Customizable Constituent Experience With Enhanced Millennium Fundraising Software From Sage Software
| Source: Sage Software
AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - August 11, 2008) - Sage Software today announced the availability
of Millennium
7.7, its Web-based
fundraising software for larger nonprofit organizations. The updated
product features a new business intelligence (BI) module to help program
managers improve analysis and decision-making, as well as improved support
for online donations and other enhancements to help organizations meet
their fundraising needs, while maximizing the constituent experience.
"Information is power, and power is more important than ever in today's
fundraising landscape," said Krista Endsley, senior vice president and
general manager for Nonprofit Solutions at Sage Software. "Millennium's
new business intelligence module, Sage Visual Analyzer, allows development
staff to take a more analytical approach to their fundraising activities.
Organizations can use the module to quickly uncover trends, monitor
progress, and share strategic information across key functional areas."
Sage Visual Analyzer enables nonprofits to create customizable dashboards
containing relevant metrics from the Millennium database. The module
allows users to quickly and easily analyze campaign results, giving and
demographic trends, solicitation cycles, and major gifts pipelines, so they
can develop more effective fundraising strategies and make more timely
decisions. Organization executives can use single-screen dashboards to
continuously monitor fundraising efforts.
The online donation tool, called 'Donate Now' and powered by Sage
Software's Sage Payment Solutions product, can now be customized to better
meet individual organizations' online giving needs. 'Donate Now' can also
now accept sustainer pledges and permit constituents to specify campaigns
for their donations. Additionally, Millennium users can now have multiple
merchant accounts with Sage Payment Solutions, and constituents using the
'Donate Now' form now have the option to select payment information saved
from previous contributions when returning to an organization's site.
New utilization codes allow constituents to control and customize how they
are contacted by organizations. New 'snapshot' screens save time by
allowing individual users to quickly and easily view specific data
important to their tasks.
"Being able to input communication preferences -- like e-mail, home phone,
cell phone -- into Millennium helps ensure we honor each constituent's
specific requests," said Dave Bender, advancement database administrator
for Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. "The new 'snapshot' views will
give development staff a fresh look at constituent data, while the Sage
Visual Analyzer module is a great analytical tool for program directors."
Millennium customers include higher education institutions, museums,
hospitals, and foundations. With an easy-to-navigate, unique Web-based
design that can be set up as an Internet or intranet application, the
fundraising software allows larger organizations to manage campaigns
and events, track donors, and quickly and easily create reports. Numerous
active Millennium User Groups (MUGs) across the U.S. recommend product
enhancements and provide valuable feedback to executive management.
For more than 25 years, Sage Software has been helping nonprofit
