Associated Food Stores Deploying Retalix Triceps Warehouse Management System At Two More Distribution Centers

Wholesale Distributor Also Expanding Retalix System At Company HQ

DALLAS, Sept. 3, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Retalix(r) Ltd. (Nasdaq:RTLX), a leading provider of software solutions for distributors and retailers, announced today that Associated Food Stores is replacing two legacy warehouse management systems (WMS) in Montana with the Retalix TRICEPS solution and expanding its use of the system at its headquarters distribution center in Salt Lake City.

Associated Food Stores, a Retalix TRICEPS user since 2000, is a cooperatively-owned wholesale distributor employing more than 1,400 people. Associated Food Stores delivers more than 750 truckloads of groceries each week to nearly 600 supermarkets in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Wyoming.

Retalix TRICEPS is a function-rich, real-time warehouse management system that helps retail grocery, wholesalers and other large consumer package goods distributors significantly improve productivity. Clients benefit from a synchronized information flow that drives more accurate tracking of inventory levels, reduced handling and inventory charges, increased labor efficiency and better management of store orders.

"We've had tremendous success with Retalix TRICEPS and have developed a deep appreciation of its capabilities at our headquarters facility," said Craig McPhee, executive director of distribution at Associated Food Stores. "We are optimistic about leveraging the technology across our other distribution centers."

Associated Food Stores is adding new automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) equipment - and integrating them with the previously installed TRICEPS WMS - at the headquarters location. It has also expanded this distribution center to more than 1 million sq. ft.

With the addition of the Montana sites, Retalix TRICEPS will help Associated Food Stores plan, coordinate and manage more than 1.7 million sq. ft. of warehouse operations.

"Retalix TRICEPS gives retailers and distributors paperless, end-to-end inventory management from point of receipt to final shipment," said Ray Carlin, executive vice president of Retalix USA. "The solution consistently enables them to deliver new levels of service to their retailers."
