Promotions Announced at U.S. RE Corp.

PEARL RIVER, NY--(Marketwire - September 15, 2008) - Marc Piccione has been appointed Assistant Vice President after serving five years as a broker at U.S. RE Corporation and John Klaus has been named Assistant Secretary, Arthur Dougherty, Senior Vice President announced.

U.S. RE Corporation is the international brokerage and consulting arm of U.S. RE Companies, Inc., a financial services firm with interests in reinsurance broking, consulting, investment banking, program business, risk and claims management, and alternative risk transfer mechanisms including Risk Retention Groups and Captives.

Piccione joined U.S. RE in 2003 after a stint at Munich Re in Munich, Germany, where he concentrated on special and financial risks and retrocession. Earlier, he gained experience as a reinsurance trainee at Assicurazione Generali in Trieste, Italy. Piccione graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in international relations, business, and finance.

Klaus joined U.S. RE as a broker in 2004 after working in life insurance sales at Bankers Life & Casualty where he concentrated in annuities and long-term care insurance. He is a graduate of Bucknell University with a B. A. in business management.
