NewMarket Technology, Inc. Announces Microsoft Forefront Implementation for 3,000 Workstations for Electricidad de Caracas

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - October 14, 2008) - NewMarket Technology, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NMKT) today announced that RKM IT Solutions (RKM) has signed an agreement to provide Microsoft Forefront to 3,000 workstations for Electricidad de Caracas (http://www.laedc.com.ve/). The Company's Latin American operations previously announced signing a multi-year Microsoft Enterprise Agreement with the electric company (http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/080603/0403262.html). Founded in 1895, Electricidad de Caracas generates, sells and distributes electricity to more than one million residential and commercial customers in the Caracas, Venezuela area.

RKM is the fourth largest Microsoft Large Account Reseller (LAR) in Venezuela, having recently achieved an overall Microsoft sales increase of 235.78% over the previous fiscal year.
