CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - October 14, 2008) - On October 28, the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge will host a panel conversation to discuss the re-emergence of advertising networks and their growing role in reaching an increasingly fragmented audience.

The keynote panel will include thought-leaders from advertising agencies and networks and will explore topics including the impact of new economics for the advertising inventory value chain, targeting methods and the future role of advertising exchanges in the ecosystem.


Ron Belanger is the vice president of agency development for Yahoo! Search Marketing. Belanger is responsible for building relationships with Yahoo's agency partners and supports a number of initiatives such as joint research, agency staffing, co-marketing events and product training. Prior to joining Yahoo!, he was vice president of search and affiliate marketing at Carat Interactive (now Carat Fusion). Belanger is a noted expert in the field of search marketing, with a focus on search and branding.

Daniel Jaye, a leader in behavioral targeting, was most recently president of TACODA and played a critical role in the company's sale to AOL/Time Warner. Prior to TACODA, Jaye was founder, CTO and chairman of Permissus and co-founded and was CTO of Engage, Inc., where he was in charge of product strategy, delivery and operations. Jaye also invented the concept of "anonymous profiling" and patented a system for building user profiles and a method for inferring demographic information of website visitors.

Dwight Merriman is chairman and co-founder of AlleyCorp, a provider of strategic advice and counsel to technology companies. Merriman is also a co-founder of DoubleClick, where he served as CTO for ten years and was the architect of the DoubleClick advertising serving infrastructure, DART. In 2005, he co-founded Panther Express and ShopWiki, where he still serves as chairman. Merriman is also a Board member of the web photo/video sharing company Phanfare.

Mike Troiano is the founding CEO of matchmine, a network that helps create new revenue opportunities for online publishers. Troiano was previously SVP of business development at mobile content pioneer m-Qube and was also president of Primix, where he helped increase annual revenues over $25 million, double gross margins and add nearly $200 million in shareholder value. Troiano spent his early career at advertising agencies, working with clients such as AT&T, Coca-Cola and Taco Bell.

The panel will be moderated by Don Dodge, director of business development in Microsoft's Emerging Business Team.
