Salcomp Plc Release 29 October 2008 at 14:20 Finnish time SALCOMP INTRODUCES MULTIPLUG CHARGER Salcomp introduces during spring 2009 to the market a new Multiplug charger platform in which country models are replaced by interchangeable mains plugs. The mains plug can be easily changed without tools and this enables the use of the same charger in different countries. Available in the new Multiplug charger platform are mains plugs used in EU countries, United Kingdom, the USA, China, Australia and Argentina. The Multiplug charger has fixed cable and mini/micro USB connector or customer-specific connector. Chargers produced according to the Multiplug product platform can be used in mobile phones, bluetooth headsets and other handheld electronic devices. Multiplug charger fulfills international safety and efficiency requirements, e.g. the highest level V of the Energy Star requirements. Multiplug is one of Salcomp's four charger solutions based on the company's own platforms. The other platforms are Eagle, Cosmo and Mini. All of these platforms are specified and developed by Salcomp. They feature technologically flexible, safety-approved chargers that can be sold as such or further tailored to the customer's specific needs. They are cost-efficient and enable quick entry to market.
