Germany's Arcor Deploys Arbor Networks Peakflow SP and Threat Management System for Network Protection and Service Creation

CHELMSFORD, MA--(Marketwire - November 24, 2008) - Arbor Networks, Inc., a leading provider of secure service control solutions for global business networks, announced today that Arcor, Germany's second-largest fixed-line telecommunications company, has deployed the Arbor Peakflow SP platform ("Peakflow SP") to enhance its network-wide visibility and protection against network threats such as botnets and distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, as well as to deliver a "clean pipes" managed service to enterprise customers.

Peakflow SP is delivering the pervasive network visibility, deep application insight and comprehensive threat management Arcor needs to identify, report and surgically mitigate DDoS and zero-day threats before they impact critical business services. Arcor is also using Peakflow SP for traffic engineering to improve network performance and to deliver revenue generating managed DDoS detection and mitigation services to customers.
