PRSA Awards The Rogers Group Top Honors for Environmental and Digital Campaigns

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 24, 2008) - The Rogers Group (TRG) won two PRism awards
in "green" marketing and digital technologies, further reinforcing their
growing stature in these burgeoning public relations arenas. TRG received
these public relations industry awards from the Los Angeles Area Chapter of
the Public Relations Society of America, for work with home appliance
manufacturer Bosch and the California Department of Public Health's Tobacco
Control Program.
"While digital and 'green' marketing have become buzz words in our
profession, these awards showcase our use of innovative tools in ways that
effectively take our clients' messages to new levels," said Lynne Doll,

To garner recognition for Bosch's eco-friendly products and environmental
leadership, TRG created a year-long campaign including aggressive media
relations, partnerships and promotions, and signature events including the
"100 Mile Menu": an organic, locally-sourced meal prepared on Bosch's
latest cooktops before the eyes of VIP New York media. The campaign also
garnered marquee articles in The Wall Street Journal and Newsweek, which
resulted in media impressions exceeding 125 million.
Breathing new life into the anti-smoking message through the use of digital
strategies, TRG created the Be A Reel Hero contest for the California
Department of Public Health's Tobacco Control Program. This innovative
contest utilized Web 2.0 technology in asking California residents to
create the next great anti-tobacco TV commercial. The campaign utilized
strategic online marketing efforts and outreach to film, advertising,
technology and video contest blogs. Votes from the public helped to choose
the finalists who were highlighted in a press conference at the state's
capitol. The winning commercial then aired during an episode of "American
Idol." The Be A Reel Hero campaign was also honored in the NPHIC 2008
Awards for Excellence in Public Health Communication.
