BEDFORD, MA--(Marketwire - December 1, 2008) - TimeTrade Systems, the leader in self-service appointment scheduling, today announced it will host a complimentary Webcast on December 4th titled "Control Costs and Exceed Expectations with Online Campus-Wide, Self-Service." The session will feature Kenneth C. Green, Founder and Director of The Campus Computing Project and Bernadette McMahon, Associate VP of IT at Columbia College of Chicago.

Begun in 1990, The Campus Computing Project is the largest continuing study of the role of computing, e-learning and information technology in American colleges and universities. Study results show that 24/7 online campus resources and services are now expected by students, faculty and campus officials. Green will offer expert insight on the essential "online services perspective" that affects operations across U.S. higher education.

The Columbia College of Chicago offers more than 120 academic programs and serves over 11,000 students. It is the largest and most diverse private arts and media college in the U.S. McMahon will offer commentary on the college's decision to implement Web-based, self-service scheduling in admissions, advising and financial aid and on how the implementation has reduced the college's administrative costs; saved staff, faculty and student time; and greatly enhanced convenience for all its constituents. Additionally, McMahon will discuss the college's plans to roll out similar services campus-wide.

"On a daily basis, colleges and universities need to coordinate facilities, equipment, services, faculty or staff and students," said Ed Mallen, CEO of TimeTrade Systems. "These efforts are necessary, but time-consuming and expensive. Manual scheduling is chaotic and inefficient utilization of campus resources. Our two distinguished speakers will share their knowledge of and experience in leveraging technology to drive campus services -- including scheduling -- online. They will also discuss the benefits achieved by doing so -- including lower costs, increased operational efficiency, and improved reporting."
