Co-op Services Credit Union Joins Invest in America Campaign

Vehicle Discounts and Auto Financing Readily Available

LIVONIA, MI--(Marketwire - December 22, 2008) - In response to tightening credit nationwide and the severe economic impact on the U.S. auto industry, Co-op Services Credit Union has joined a consortium of more than 1,200 Midwest credit unions participating in the "Invest in America" campaign, which is seeking to go nationwide.

The program is offering cash discounts for credit union members from both Chrysler and GM and access to affordable financing on new vehicle purchases.

Credit union members are eligible to receive the GM Supplier Discount plus $250 bonus cash* (see dealer for details) on most new GM vehicles, through January 5, 2009.

Chrysler is expanding the program to eight additional states, which is expected to make available an additional $12 billion in auto loans and bring discounts to another 14 million credit union members. Chrysler's program, "Credit Union Member Cash," runs through June 30, 2009, and offers rebates of $500 or $1,000 on eligible Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge vehicles. To gain access to the program, credit union members can simply bring proof of credit union financing to a Chrysler dealership.

"We are encouraging members to pre-qualify with us for an auto loan to make sure they save even more with our low rates," said Lisa Fawcett, marketing director of Co-op Services Credit Union. "Non members are also welcome to call us or stop by one of our branches to find out how they can qualify."

"Invest in America" includes all current and new credit union members in the Midwestern states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. The "Credit Union Member Cash" rebates are also available in Oklahoma, Texas, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Mexico and Mississippi. There are plans to take "Invest in America" nationwide during 2009.

"Co-op Services Credit Union is pleased that we are in a sound financial position to step up and help our members with their auto financing needs and also support the U.S. auto industry," added Fawcett.

Details about the "Invest in America" program are available at any of Co-op Services Credit Union's branch offices or by calling 800-778-CSCU toll free.
