King & Spalding Elects Three Partners to Its Policy Committee

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - December 22, 2008) - King & Spalding, a leading international law
firm, announced today it elected three partners to the firm's 10-person
policy committee, effective January 1, 2009. They are Scott J. Arnold (New
York), Tracie J. Renfroe (Houston), and Philip R. Weems (Dubai).
King & Spalding's policy committee is responsible for firm policies,
strategic initiatives and the overall enhancement of the firm. Members are
elected by the partnership to a three-year term.
The new members replace partners C. William Baxley, John J. Kelley III and
Reginald R. Smith, whose terms expire at the end of 2008.
Scott J. Arnold -- Arnold is head of the firm's real estate practice. He
has represented clients in commercial real estate issues since 1975,
including the structuring of real estate investment funds and all aspects
of their acquisitions, financings and sales in the United States; non-U.S.
investors with inbound investment in U.S. real estate, as well as Middle
Eastern investors in Shari'ah-compliant structures; and the hospitality
industry.
Tracie J. Renfroe -- Renfroe is a trial attorney who represents energy,
petrochemical and manufacturing clients in a broad array of litigation. She
focuses on toxic tort, product liability, environmental and commercial
disputes, including complex multi-party litigation in state and federal
courts.
Philip R. Weems -- Weems is co-chair of the firm's global energy practice
and managing partner of its Middle East offices. He specializes in global
energy and infrastructure transactions with a concentration on LNG/gas
matters, upstream transactions and energy maritime issues.
