LSI Industries Revises Downward Sales and Earnings Guidance for Fiscal 2009


CINCINNATI, Jan. 6, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LSI Industries Inc. (Nasdaq:LYTS) today announced that it is revising its previous sales and earnings guidance downward as a result of recessionary influences affecting its business.

Based upon current economic conditions and uncertainty in the retail and automotive markets, management's best conservative guidance for diluted earnings per share is between $0.16 and $0.20 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009. This revised guidance compares to management's previous guidance of diluted per share earnings of $0.29 to $0.36, and analysts' "street" estimates of $0.31 to $0.34 per share. Net sales for fiscal 2009 are now expected to be between $250 million and $265 million, compared to the previous guidance range of $290 million to $310 million.
