LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - February 25, 2009) - DIGITAL SIGNAGE EXPO 2009 LAS VEGAS
CONVENTION CENTER BOOTH #1423 - Sharp today announces the new
PN-325 32-inch class (31-1/2" Diagonal) professional LCD monitor, which
offers a new screen size for the most sophisticated commercial signage and
display applications in both landscape and portrait modes. This new model
joins Sharp's steadily expanding line of monitors that have been designed
for professional applications and operate in both portrait and landscape
mode. With superb image quality and reliability, the monitor offers
unparalleled performance for digital signage markets including retail,
banking, hospitality and airports, as well as training simulation,
government, university and corporate facilities. Also joining the lineup
is the PN-325P monitor with an integrated protective acrylic overlay
for high traffic areas.
"The digital signage market is still in its infancy and the growth
potential is limitless. With the right solution, companies can maximize
digital signage opportunities for effective communication of basic
information, advertising and even pure entertainment," said Dan Wynne,
senior director, Marketing, Professional Display Division, Sharp Imaging
and Information Company of America. "This new size professional monitor
opens up more possibilities for signage applications in areas where a
smaller monitor is necessary, and can also fulfill both the traditional
landscape and portrait mode needs for a wider range of commercial
applications."
Superior Image Quality and Reliability
The PN-325 monitor offers Wide XGA (1366 x 768) HD resolution combined with
Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View (ASV) panel, providing stellar
picture quality for fast-moving video through its fast pixel response time
of less than 6 ms, as well as high brightness and wide 176 degree viewing
angles. For a superior picture in practically any lighting condition, the
monitor features a 1500:1 contrast ratio enabling viewers to discern
details they might otherwise miss, particularly when viewing darker
content.
To show multiple types of content sources in high definition, the monitors
utilize DFE (Dual-Fine Engine) technology, which provides superior display
of both digital and analog sources so the customer can display computer and
video content flawlessly. A built-in enlargement function allows a user to
create up to 4x4 video walls from a PC, and offers Picture in Picture
capabilities.
For superior reliability in any commercial application, the monitor offers
a rugged design and components, ideal for extended 24/7 use. The monitor
also offers a lockable key panel, power-on delay function and extensive
color adjustments.
Enhanced Connectivity
The PN-325 has a full complement of input and output connectors to display
all types of content, from DVD to varying PC resolutions from both analog
and digital (DVI-D) sources. The monitor also offers an optional stereo
speaker system (AN-32SP1) which attaches across the bottom of the display,
as well as an RS-232C input which allows the monitor to be controlled,
monitored and have diagnostics performed from a central location.
The PN-325 and PN-325P are supported with a 3-year, 24/7 on-site parts
and labor limited warranty, including 3-year warranty on the backlight
with no restrictions on whether the monitor is installed in portrait or
landscape mode.
