EnergySolutions Announces Management Change

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - March 2, 2009) - EnergySolutions, Inc. (NYSE: ES) announced today that effective February 27, 2009, J. I. "Chip" Everest stepped down as Vice Chairman of EnergySolutions. Mr. Everest will remain on the Board of Directors and will continue to work with the EnergySolutions Foundation.

As part of his Board responsibilities, Mr. Everest will maintain an office at corporate headquarters. Chip will resume his role as Partner in Western Pacific Group looking for investment opportunities. Western Pacific Group is an investment company owned by Chip and Steve Creamer.
