Senior AEC Executive Tim Bates Joins Newforma Team

MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwire - March 5, 2009) - Newforma® Inc., a software company addressing the project information management (PIM) needs of the design and building industry, today announced that Tim Bates, a seasoned technology executive with over 25 years of AEC-related experience, has joined Newforma as director of EMEA operations, reporting to Vic Sanchez, Newforma vice president of global sales and service. Tim will be located in England and have responsibility for all sales and service-related activities in Europe and the Middle East, including responsibility for Newforma's recently announced reseller partnership with Océ (UK) Limited.

Prior to joining Newforma, Tim was technical director of Excitech Ltd, Autodesk's largest reseller partner in the UK. He was also a member of the CE Avanti Committee and secretary of the UK AEC Community Group, and has published several CPD-approved articles on technology-related topics in the Excitech Design Productivity Journal. Prior to joining Excitech, Tim founded and managed his own Autodesk dealership, T B Design Systems, based in Bristol, England.
