Rezidor announces the Radisson Blu Axelmannstein Resort, Bad Reichenhall /
Germany 

The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide,
announces the Radisson Blu Axelmannstein Resort in Bad Reichenhall, Germany. The
existing property with 152 rooms will be rebranded and join the Radisson family
on 30th June 2009. “With this signing our steadily growing resort portfolio
comes close to 40 properties with more than 9,500 rooms across Europe and the
Middle East”, comments Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. At the same
time, the hotel brings the German portfolio to almost 50 properties with more
than 10,000 rooms. "We are excited to extend our cooperation with Rezidor to
another property", adds Bodo Sikora, Managing Director of EP Group Germany which
operates the hotel. "Based on our experience with the Radisson Blu Hotel
Stralsund we are convinced that this partnership will be to the full benefit of
the hotel and the city of Bad Reichenhall as a tourist destination”, Sikora
explains.

The original building of the Radisson Blu Axelmannstein Resort dates back to
1846 and is a beautiful building in Grand Hotel style, located in a private park
of 30,000 square meters featuring a lake, fountains and exotic trees. The 152
spacious rooms (including 11 suites and 4 apartments) undergo a renovation and
will offer all unique Radisson Blu services including free high speed internet. 

Restaurant and bar venues include the “Parkrestaurant” with international and
French menus, the “Axelstüberl” serving specialities from Bavaria, the “Wiener
Café” and the “Axelbar”. The hotel's spa comprises 600 square meters dedicated
to wellness and wellbeing - including treatment rooms, sauna, indoor pool,
solarium and fitness room. 

Bad Reichenhall is a famous health resort in Southern Germany - close to the
Austrian border and to Salzburg (which is only a 15 minutes drive away). It has
a scenic location amidst Bavaria's mountains and crystal-clear lakes. Hiking
trails, ski slopes, golf courses, shopping paradises and music festivals beckon
travellers.
