WindSim Launches US Subsidiary to Meet Increased Demand in the Wind Energy Industry

Appoints Software Industry Veteran Robert D. Buckley as President


BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - April 15, 2009) - Norway's WindSim AS today announced the launch of WindSim AMERICAS Inc. to meet the increased demand for its advanced software solutions and professional services that help worldwide wind energy industry leaders design more profitable wind farms. WindSim is the leading innovator of CFD techniques in the worldwide wind energy industry.

WindSim pioneered the application of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to optimize wind turbine placement. The company possesses strong global domain expertise because it has helped its customers meet the challenges of wind farm design and wind resource assessment for more than ten years.

Software industry veteran Robert D. Buckley will lead WindSim AMERICAS, as its president and as a member of the board, from its Boston headquarters. The new company will manage all existing partner and customer relationships in North America, Central America, and South America and foresees strong growth in these regions.
