BlueLinx Launches Next Generation Web Portal at BlueLinxCo.com

Distinct Design and Innovative Tools Benefit Customers, Architects and Building Professionals

ATLANTA, April 30, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BlueLinx Corporation, America's largest building products distributor, today unveiled a comprehensive upgrade and re-design of its now feature-packed online Web portal. BlueLinx' goal for the portal is to better connect people to the products and information they need in order to enhance the speed and quality of customer service. In addition, the new site provides a foundation for future product catalogs and online ordering capabilities. In keeping with the company's high level of customer service, BlueLinxCo.com now features detailed listings of branch product offerings, a comprehensive literature library and a nation-wide search tool for locating stocking dealers.

Designed with today's pressing needs of helping customers find cost savings opportunities, the BlueLinx Web portal includes sales specials tailored to the individual needs of each market. These sales specials are available on the BlueLinxCo.com home page and can be searched by ZIP Code location. Sales specials will be updated every two weeks, in order to pass along continuing value and savings to the customer.

Additional benefits of the Web initiative include the increased ability to track order status and invoices online; find product literature and promotional materials easily; access MSDS sheets; and locate additional information through links to BlueLinx' suppliers. Architects and builders will also find relevant downloads, such as the company's award-winning FASTSuite(r) software for engineered lumber applications, as well as daily news feeds on building trends and environmental stewardship.

Recognizing that customers often request information regarding green product certifications, the BlueLinx Web site has up-to-date details on sustainability qualifications and standards for their products. These certifications are part of the company's sustainability program-PureBlue(r)-which includes a portfolio of green products, FSC certified locations and information on their forestry policy and environmental standards.

"The new BlueLinx Web portal is the first step in our strategy to provide greater visibility to our products and services," said George Judd, chief executive officer. "Increased access to our products and service offering will enable our customers to take advantage of our expanding portfolio."
