Save for Your School This Summer and You Could Win Matching Funds* From Technology Credit Union

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - May 12, 2009) - In the wake of Governor Schwarzenegger's proposed $4.8 billion dollar cut from K-12 education next year, California's schools are facing teacher layoffs and dramatic shortfalls in classroom funding that we know will negatively impact our children. For those who want to do something and help their local schools with a grassroots fundraising campaign, Technology Credit Union is launching a summer promotion titled Save 4 Your School as part of its year-long online campaign GrowyourGreencampaign.com. The objective is to rally parents, students and teachers to come together and start a savings program this summer with proceeds earmarked to go towards their school, or a particular program that is in jeopardy.

Tech CU is lending its support as well: with Save 4 Your School, individuals or groups can save money throughout the summer with a Tech CU Savings Challenge Account, and Tech CU will match the funds* of the account that saves the most through September 30th.

Participating with the Tech CU Save 4 Your School program is easy.

--  Put together a team or simply decide to save as a family or individual
--  Open a Tech CU Savings Challenge Account, register online at our Grow
    Your Green community (www.growyourgreencampaign.com) for the Save 4 Your
    School program, and start saving -- make sure you indicate in the profile
    that these funds are for a school
--  Save a minimum of $25 in your account each month, and you'll be
    automatically entered into our monthly Grow Your Green cash prize drawings
    for a chance to win an extra $100
--  Encourage other school savers by sharing your progress and try to get
    them to sign up as well
--  The individual or team who saves the most by September 30th will
    receive matching funds from Tech CU for their school (up to $500)
--  The winning account will be announced the week of October 5th.
