LOS ANGELES, May 15, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sport Chalet, Inc. (Nasdaq:SPCHA) (Nasdaq:SPCHB) today announced two upcoming in-store events with Rob Dyrdek, courtesy of the Company's vendor partner DC Shoes.
As part of the DC Fantasies Run Deep Tour, Dyrdek will sign autographs from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on May 17, 2009 at the Company's La Canada, California store, located at Two Sport Chalet Drive, and from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on May 20, 2009 at its Tempe, Arizona store, located at 1900 East Rio Salado Parkway.

As his latest endeavor in the world of entertainment Dyrdek wrote, produced and financed Street Dreams, his first full-length feature film about an up-and-coming skateboarder and his dreams. He also currently stars in the MTV series Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory which captures Dyrdek as he looks to turn all his dreams into reality, from developing his own clothing line for DC, starting a toy line, and building his own indoor skate plaza.
Prior to his current show, Dyrdek was best known for his role opposite his friend and personal bodyguard Chris "Big Black" Boykin during three seasons of the hit MTV series Rob and Big. Dyrdek began skateboarding at the age of 12 and began skateboarding professionally at the age of 16, becoming a regular contender in competitions.
