veteran has joined Uni-Ter Underwriting Management Corporation (UUMC) as
Senior Underwriter for J. M. Woodworth Risk Retention Group, Inc., Sanford
Elsass, President and CEO announced.
J. M. Woodworth is a medical malpractice insurance company owned by
physicians/surgeons practicing in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and
New Jersey. The Company is managed by UUMC of Atlanta, GA, a builder and
administrator of Risk Retention Groups in the healthcare industry. UUMC is
a subsidiary of U.S. RE Companies, Inc., the New York-based, international
financial services firm.
Barwick joined Uni-Ter after six years with MAG Mutual Insurance Co. of
Atlanta, GA, the largest medical professional liability insurer in the
Southeast, where he served as Underwriting Manager for three years and
earlier as Senior Litigation Specialist. Previously, he spent 13 years at
State Farm Insurance Company where he advanced from Regional
Re-Inspector/Senior Claim Representative to Claim Team Manager.
