Patient Access Solutions Announces a Strategic Partnership With Secure EDI

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., June 17, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Patient Access Solutions, Inc. (Pink Sheets:PASO), a leading provider of healthcare and financial processing solutions for the healthcare, homecare, and dental industries, announced today a strategic partnership with Secure EDI, a healthcare information exchange and technology company. The partnership will allow healthcare providers to process patient registration forms and physician super bills (claims) on D-PAS paper, digitally convert and transfer the forms to the Patient Access Solutions' D-PAS digital pen program and automatically process a patient eligibility transaction and insurance claim, with no data entry, through the PASHealth Web Portal to over 700 different insurance companies at the point of care.

Patient Access Solutions in conjunction with Secure EDI, has developed and instituted a cost effective, state of the art, interoperable web platform for aggregation and integration of the claims process with real-time financial reconciliation to complete the cycle of revenue management for providers across all lines of business. The service enables healthcare providers to reconcile their account receivables; integrate with their practice management system through a secure web-portal, and verify their on-line account statements. Additionally, this new state-of-the-art web portal gives the Patient Access Solutions' healthcare providers access to electronic medical records (EMR), digital form capture, and an expansive real time eligibility switch.

According to Bruce Weitzberg, CEO and President of Patient Access Solutions, "Secure EDI's solutions will be vital to Patient Access Solution's ability to provide healthcare professionals with access to vital information through secure, open-access technology."

"Our innovative platform processes all HIPAA transactions and formats in seconds while offering our users tracking, analytics, and financial reconciliation points which are documented to improve workflow and increase cash flow for healthcare providers, vendors, and insurance plans," stated Joseph Gonzalez, Secure EDI Vice President of Business Development.
