MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - June 18, 2009) - DigitalTown, Inc. (OTCBB : DGTW ) today named
Arlo Hennings to the new position of Director of Business Development for
DigitalTown's America's Prodigy division, a premier talent discovery site
for high school students.
Hennings currently is Manager for A&M recording artist Shawn Phillips where
he propelled a five-year public relations and marketing campaign that
revitalized the career of the former international music bestseller.
During that time he released a nine-CD, thirty million dollar catalog and
was awarded three certified multi-platinum and gold records.
In addition to Shawn Phillips, as Director of Talent Acquisition and
co-publisher North America for PolyGram Music International (Universal
Music) the Arlo Hennings Publishing Company was born. Hennings signed and
developed songwriters for major label recording companies. His success
includes major label contracts with Warner Bros and Interscope records.
Previously, as Director of E-Commerce and Manager for the national CATV
channel, WxPoint, he was a driving force at Meteorlogix/Weather Central, a
pioneer in online weather services. While at Weather Central, he designed
the strategy that led the company to becoming the largest internet
delivered weather channel in the Telco industry. He received his Master's
from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
