IASA Announces Dates for 2nd Annual Executive EDGE Conference

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - June 29, 2009) - IASA is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Executive EDGE Conference will be held September 13 - 15 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas following the association's Fall Planning Meeting.

This event, launched successfully in 2008, will emphasize topics of importance to insurance company Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), and Chief Investment Officers (CInvOs). The IASA Executive EDGE program will focus heavily on technology and financial topics and is scheduled to feature a keynote presentation by iconic newsman Ted Koppel entitled "Dangerous Times, Dangerous World," which will address world events such as 9/11 and the current economic crisis, as well as offer insights into Koppel's experiences during his more than 40 years with ABC News, 26 of them as anchor and managing editor of "Nightline."

Sponsored this year by Agile Technologies, Custom House, ISCS, and Vertafore, the 2009 IASA Executive EDGE Conference will feature a technology specific general session, "Results-Oriented Technology Solutions," as well as a CFO-CIO Point-Counterpoint Discussion session that will delve into why this relationship is sometimes more contentious than cooperative. Finally, executive attendees will take part in discipline-specific breakout sessions.

The interactive and flexible format of the breakout sessions will allow attendees to control the topics discussed during the event. For each area of responsibility, a distinguished group of panelists and an expert facilitator will lead the interactive discussions. Conference attendees will earn nine (9) CPE credits, and will have the opportunity to take part in a sponsored golf outing at the Cowboys' Golf Club.
