BOGOTA, COLOMBIA--(Marketwire - July 10, 2009) - Edgar Rentería, the first Colombian to
ever play in a World Series, has joined Team 4Life -- an elite group of
world-renowned athletes who endorse 4Life Transfer Factor® products.
Rentería plays professional baseball in San Francisco. In 1997 he hit in
the winning run of the World Series and was named "Man of the Year" by
Colombia's El Espectador newspaper. For his contributions on and off the
field, Rentería has received many honors, including one of Colombia's
highest distinctions: The San Carlos Cross of the Order of the Knight.
"4Life provides many opportunities to families that started at the bottom
yet maintained their faith and willingness to move forward, and have now
achieved their own greatness," states Rentería. "Thanks to God, I have
achieved my dreams with professional baseball and I want 4Life distributors
to achieve their dreams with the 4Life opportunity."
Rentería personifies 4Life's dedication to improving people's lives in the
areas of science, success and service. He uses his success on the field --
which includes more than one hundred home runs, five All-Star awards and
two Gold Glove awards -- to fund Team Rentería Baseball Academy, a program
designed to give underprivileged kids an opportunity to play the sport.
General Manager of 4Life Colombia Oscar David Villabona K. states, "There's
no one better than Rentería to endorse the efforts of our hard-working
Colombia and Andean distributors. 4Life really is a major league
opportunity."
Team 4Life members include world golf hall of famer Johnny Miller, six-time
Olympic medalist Mark Todd, British Open Winner and CBS broadcaster Ian
Baker-Finch, and other international athletes.
4Life, world leader in the development, production, and distribution of
transfer factor products, continues to post growth in more than 40
countries around the world.
