Upon the decision of the Council of AS “Latvijas Krājbanka” (hereinafter - the bank) starting from 17 August 2009 the duties of the Chairman of the Board shall be performed by former Member of the Board Ivars Priedītis. Such decision has been adopted on the basis of notification of Mārtiņš Bondars on resignation thus concluding his engagement in the development of the bank during last years. Next Chairman of the Board Ivars Priedītis has been in the Board of the bank since July 2007. He has been engaged in banking and insurance business already since year 1992, holding strategic positions in the financial institutions. Mārtiņš Bondars: “Upon undertaking the management of the bank three years ago, my challenge was to reorganise the structure of the bank, to build a team and to increase business volume. This has been done. Within that period the bank has strengthened its market positions as a universal network bank and I consider this period as a vital for the development of the bank. This development has to progress logically.” Ivars Priedītis: “AS “Latvijas Krājbanka” shall continue to ensure the fundamental principles of its operation - the bank has the largest client servicing network in Latvia, it offers its clients with competitive and varied products and services. At the same time, the situation in the market directs to look for new opportunities, including - to broaden the international cooperation.“ The major shareholder AB Bankas “Snoras” has negotiated with Mārtiņš Bondars the possibility to continue the work in the Council of the bank, and this issue shall be considered by the shareholders' meeting on 07.09.2009. Mārtiņš Bondars shall hold the office of the Chairman of the Board of AS “Latvijas Krājbanka” until 17 August this year.
