Salon City and Farouk Systems Sign Contract Following Grand Opening

BEVERLY HILLS, CA--(Marketwire - August 20, 2009) - Ewire -- Salon City, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SALN), an emerging media company, lifestyle brand and publisher of its flagship publication Salon City magazine, announced that its newest publication, Beauty Entertainment magazine, has just signed a 2009-10 branding and advertising contract with salon manufacturing giant, Farouk Systems Inc. to brand the global beauty company in Salon City's media, including BE!, its newest magazine about salon people.

Farouk Systems' campaign is set to roll out next week in BE! Magazine and Beautymaker Net News; Salon City's popular daily email news show. Salon City magazine and digital media are scheduled to follow this fall. The contract was signed shortly after Salon City management attended Farouk's big event where Farouk Shami, Founder and Chairman of Farouk Systems, Inc., appeared with Texas dignitaries to celebrate the Grand Opening of their newest plant.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Job Fair on July 30th was a big media success. Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich -- who recently awarded Farouk Shami the Entrepreneur of the Year Award and Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, sent their congratulations via pre-recorded video messages. Congressman Ted Poe presented Farouk with a flag that was flown over the Texas Capital and a Certificate of Appreciation in honor of bringing jobs to Texas.
