The certification is a demonstration that PA Resources UK Limited has an environmental management system that meets the requirements of the ISO 14001:2004 (E) standard. The independent accreditation bureau URS Ltd. has during the certification process undertaken a thorough audit of the company's environmental management system as applied to both office-based activities and exploration and appraisal operations on its oil and gas licences. PA Resources regards the ISO 14001 certification as an important step in developing its capability with respect to health, safety and environment (HSE) management, to achieve continual improvements and to protect the environment, its assets, employees, subcontractors and the communities around its operations. Ulrik Jansson, President and CEO at PA Resources AB commented "This is an important step in the development of our UK subsidiary which manages PA Resources' activities in the UK, Netherlands, Denmark and Greenland.
