IntelePeer Expands Senior Executive Team With Appointment of Industry Veteran to Lead AppworX Business Unit

Margaret Norton Brings More Than 20 Years of Telecommunications and Software Industry Experience to Drive AppworX Revenues and Profitability


SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwire - October 1, 2009) - IntelePeer Inc., a leader in hosted on-demand rich media communications, today announced the appointment of Margaret Norton as the general manager of the AppworX Business Unit.

As AppworX continues to gain customer traction, Norton will apply her extensive industry experience to further scale the business unit while also accelerating revenue growth and profitability. Norton will focus on building a dedicated channel development organization to leverage the AppworX Open Communications Platform across new markets.

Before joining IntelePeer, Norton served as the president and CEO of Mobilitec, a global software and services company offering an integrated platform to provide content service delivery for mobile operators worldwide. At Mobilitec, she guided the company's expansion and growth through the company's purchase by Lucent (Alcatel-Lucent). Norton has also served as the general manager and senior vice president of Octel Communications. Under her leadership, the service provider division increased revenues from $100 million to $350 million in two years. Additionally, Norton has held positions as a chief marketing officer and executive roles in product management, business development and sales.
