Savantage Solutions Awarded Task Order for Providing Expert Acquisition Support to Army Knowledge Online (AKO)/Defense Knowledge Online (DKO) Program Mangement Office

ROCKVILLE, MD--(Marketwire - October 6, 2009) - Savantage Solutions has been awarded a task order by the U.S. Army Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), to provide Expert Acquisition Support to the Army Knowledge Online (AKO)/Defense Knowledge Online (DKO) Program Management Office (PMO). This is the first task order awarded by the Army's Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) under the Program Management Support Services - 2 (PMSS2) contract vehicle, for which Savantage is a prime.

AKO/DKO plays a major role in supporting the Army, DoD, its leaders, their families, reservists, and retirees with a secure portal to conduct DoD human resources business, use of collaboration tools, email and a host of other functions. As a service portal, AKO/DKO facilitates access, communication, and collaboration between users and a growing network of Army and DoD enterprise services. Under this contract, Savantage will provide acquisition support services such as providing extensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and expert acquisition guidance and recommendations, and assisting in acquisition documentation.

Contract work is scheduled to begin immediately.
