FiReGlobal : West Coast to Showcase Michael Dell as Centerpiece Speaker

FRIDAY HARBOR, WA--(Marketwire - October 12, 2009) - Computer icon Michael Dell will take the stage in Seattle this week, where he will be featured as the 2009 FiReGlobal : West Coast conference Centerpiece Speaker. Dell, Chairman and CEO of Dell, Inc., will be interviewed by Strategic News Service CEO Mark Anderson on October 15th, at the Seattle Four Seasons Hotel. The results of this work are now becoming apparent. I am delighted to have Michael with us at FiReGlobal : West Coast, and excited to hear his ideas about running Dell, buying Perot Systems, and solving problems," said Mark Anderson, CEO of SNS, Chair of FiRe and FiReGlobal : West Coast.

In a move beyond current tech conferences, FiReGlobal : West Coast has overlaid regional problems nominated by local leaders, to be solved through the collaboration of local Chief Technology Officers prior to the conference.

Other speakers will include Irwin Jacobs, Founder of Qualcomm; RealNetworks Founder, Chairman and CEO Rob Glaser; Nobel Laureate Lee Hartwell, President and Director of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center; Steve Reynolds, CEO of Puget Sound Energy; Washington State Commerce Department Director Rogers Weed; Larry Smarr, Director of the UCSD California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology; John Delaney, UW Professor of Oceanography and Director of the Regional Scale Nodes Program; and Mark Anderson.
