CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - October 19, 2009) - The National Council of State Boards of Nursing
(NCSBN®) (
www.ncsbn.org) Board of Directors appointed Julio Santiago RN,
MSN, CCRN, as director-at-large, to fill a vacancy on the NCSBN Board. The
director-at-large position represents the perspectives of the membership at
large during meetings of the Board of Directors.
Santiago is the chairperson of the Illinois Board of Nursing and the member
representing clinical practice since March 2005. Since 1990 Santiago has
had extensive experience in nursing including critical care, behavioral
health and administrative positions. For the past five years, he has been
a critical care nurse at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove
Village, Ill. He received his MSN degree in Nursing Education in 2009 from
Olivet Nazarene University.
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit
organization whose members include the boards of nursing in the 50 states,
the District of Columbia and four U.S. territories -- American Samoa, Guam,
Northern Mariana Islands and the Virgin Islands. There are also four
associate members.
