BASKING RIDGE, NJ--(Marketwire - October 23, 2009) - Avaya, a global leader in enterprise
communications applications, systems, services, today announced that Dr.
Alan Baratz, senior vice president and president of Avaya's Global
Communications Solutions, will deliver the opening keynote address at
VoiceCon San Francisco 2009, the industry's leading enterprise
communications conference and exhibition. Baratz will address the
reinvention of voice for a new era of business communications wherein the
"grand-daddy" of communications adopts the agility of its younger, upstart
communications relatives. The keynote will take place at 10:30 am Pacific
on Tuesday, November 3, 2009.
Baratz's keynote will include discussion of technology under development
that merges the emotion of the spoken word with the flexible attributes of
text. In addition, he will share his views on the changing world of
collaboration in which voice, video and text converge to provide new
capabilities for solving complex problems that require human interaction.
"Value creation in business is all about relationships," said Baratz.
"Probing, analyzing and resolving complex problems require human
interaction, and that's done through voice more effectively than any other
means.
"The challenge," noted Baratz, "is to combine the ease of data-based
applications with the quality of voice, which is just one of the benefits
provided by our Avaya Aura platform."
VoiceCon San Francisco 2009 will be held from November 2 through November 5
at the Moscone North Convention Center, San Francisco, California. Avaya
will exhibit interactive technologies for small, medium and large
enterprises at Booth 701, where attendees can experience first-hand how
Avaya solutions for unified communications and contact centers can help
streamline business communications for businesses of all sizes.
Avaya executives will demonstrate how these solutions can help reduce cost,
deliver business agility and secure loyal customers.
Avaya executives and subject matter experts will also participate in
educational, panel and roundtable sessions during the conference,
