PENSACOLA, Fla., Nov. 17, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Out O' Space Storage in partnership with the Florida Self Storage Association, a statewide organization for the self storage industry, is working with Toys for Tots for the 2009 holiday season. Out O' Space Storage (see www.OutOSpace.com) has collection sites at their two area locations for dropping off new toys to be distributed by the Marine Toys for Tots to needy children in the area for the holiday season.
New toys can be donated during business hours of Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM at 1470 S. Hwy 29, Cantonment (one mile north of Kingsfield Road) or 540 E. Fairfield Drive, Pensacola (1.7 miles from the Cordova Mall). Items must be new, unwrapped and in their original packaging; toy guns and weapons cannot be accepted. Out O' Space Storage will be hosting an open house and providing cookies and coffee to everyone who drops off unwrapped toys at their two locations each Saturday until Christmas.

Toys for Tots has been collecting and delivering toys for children since 1947 when Major Bill Hendricks USMCR and a group of Marine Reservists collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children. Now in its 61st year, the organization boasts almost 20 million toys delivered to approximately 8 million children.
