REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - November 19, 2009) - Host Analytics, the leading provider of
cloud-based corporate performance management (CPM) solutions, today
announced that leading independent market research firm Forrester Research
has updated its review of business performance solutions (BPS) and vendors
-- and Host Analytics was classified as a "strong performer." In The
Forrester Wave™: Business Performance Solutions, Q4 2009 report,
released November 2009, Forrester refers to Host Analytics as having "a
well-rounded offering and a clear vision and strategy for BPS."
Forrester reviewed 10 vendors in its BPS market assessment and only vendors
with a comprehensive platform were included. According to Forrester, "each
vendor invited to participate has a BPS offering that includes at least
three of the four core BPS capabilities (planning and budgeting, financial
consolidations, cost and profitability management, and strategy and
performance measurement applications)." Host Analytics was the only
pure-play Software-as-a-Service vendor to qualify.
"BPS has strong long-term growth prospects, and this software category has
held up reasonably well in the current recession," noted Forrester in its
report. "Planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance
measurement solutions have proven to be essential business tools to deal
with economic uncertainty... Forrester predicts that total software
revenues (licenses, maintenance, and subscriptions) in BPS will grow by a
compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.7% through 2012, increasing from
$2 billion in 2008 to $3.2 billion in 2012."
For its report Forrester evaluated vendors against 89 criteria including
current offering, strategy and market presence. Host Analytics was said to
have "an attractive offering for midsize companies that want to deploy BPS
rapidly and cost-effectively." Also: "The functionality of the Host
Analytics solution has reached a good level of maturity around key BPS
functions, and the company is poised for rapid growth."
"This report reflects the breadth of our offering and recognizes we have
the correct strategy moving forward," said Keri Brooke, vice president of
product marketing at Host Analytics. "With a series of new products on the
way soon, I'm confident Host Analytics will remain at the leading-edge of
the market."
"Nothing but good news for Host Analytics in Forrester's report," said Jon
Kondo, CEO at Host Analytics. "It recognizes the tremendous growth we're
experiencing and underscores the value of BPS for helping companies
navigate through difficult economic times. It also reflects our decision
to invest in developing a broad BPS suite, a key differentiator for us vis
a vis niche vendors. We are also excited to be the only SaaS vendor in the
report -- cloud-based BPS clearly is where the market is headed."
