Robert Gionfriddo Named President, Silicon Valley Region by Community Bank of the Bay

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - December 14, 2009) - Community Bank of the Bay (OTCBB : CBYAA )
announced today that Robert Gionfriddo has joined as President, Silicon
Valley Region.
"Bob is a highly respected and seasoned relationship banker with a long
history in the communities that make up the Silicon Valley. His high
profile and substantial network of business clients and referral sources

experience, Bob provides the skill and market knowledge within this
important region."
Before joining Community Bank of the Bay, Bob was a Director, Executive
Vice President, and President of Specialty Markets for Bridge Bank for the
past eight years. Before co-founding Bridge Bank, he was a co-founder, Vice
Chairman and Executive Vice President of Heritage Bank of Commerce from
1994-2000. Plaza Bank of Commerce, which sold to Comerica Bank in 1990, was
where Mr. Gionfriddo began his independent banking career and where he was
Executive Vice President and Director of Corporate Marketing from
1980-1990.

Mr. Gionfriddo and his wife Donna are residents of Los Gatos, CA. He is
active in many civic and nonprofit organizations, including the Rotary Club
of San Jose and Civic Club of San Jose. He is on the Board of Directors of
the San Jose/Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Gionfriddo has been an
active fundraiser for countless local charities as well as having served on
a number of nonprofit boards and committees including The American Cancer
Society of Santa Clara Valley and the Children's Discovery Museum of San
Jose.
Mr. Gionfriddo has an undergraduate degree from Fairfield University in
Fairfield, Connecticut. He attended Loyola University of Chicago in Rome,
Italy.
