DigitalTown Completes Its Nationwide Rollout of High School Content Sites

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - December 15, 2009) - DigitalTown, Inc. (OTCBB: DGTW) today announced it completed its nationwide rollout of nearly 27,000 High School spirit content websites ahead of schedule.

This represents one of the largest rollouts of interconnected websites, if not the largest to date on the internet of standalone websites that will be concentrated in a central theme and have hyper-local information down to the demographics of every school district in the United States.

Phase Two of the design rollout starts in January 2010. This design phase will start interacting with our content partners with user profiles and professional website templates for sport teams, clubs, alumni groups and more.

Phase Two will also address the issue of over 1,700 high schools that have the same name and mascot. DigitalTown after consulting with coaches and school personnel will allow all schools with the same name to share the same domain name.

DigitalTown developed a customized administrative software tool that controls the database and allows the company and its value added partners to interact and insure all domains align properly to the local High Schools' parameters.

This tool will go into a version 2.0 design to add, among other changes, multiple mascots for boys and girls. For Alumni, a mascot history module will be added for schools that have gone through mascot changes.
