Prospect Capital Declares 21st Consecutive Quarterly Cash Distribution Increase


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - December 17, 2009) - Prospect Capital Corporation (NASDAQ: PSEC) ("Prospect" or "Company") announced today that it has declared a second fiscal quarter (for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010) cash distribution of $0.40875 per share.

This distribution marks the Company's 21st consecutive quarterly increase. The ex-dividend date is Tuesday, December 29, 2009. The record date is Thursday, December 31, 2009. The payment date is Monday, January 25, 2010.
