CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - January 19, 2010) - Dedupe2.com, the gathering place for the
data management industry to discuss, debate and shape the next era of data
deduplication, today announced Aaron Jarson as the winner of its
Twitter-based "Navigation Through Deduplication" contest. Jarson fought
off stiff competition and won the grand prize, a TomTom ONE 125 navigation
system.
The contest ran from November 17th-December 20th with
two deduplication-related questions asked each week via the Dedupe2 Twitter channel. Contest
participants were instructed to direct message the site at @Dedupe2 with
the correct answer. Jarson was chosen as the winner based on submitting the
most correct answers. The contest was open to all* participants who wished
to test their knowledge of data deduplication. The participants had to have
a Twitter account and had to follow
@Dedupe2 in order to be able to send direct messages. Contest questions
ranged from "What does SHA stand for in SHA-1 & SHA-2?" to "Is single
