BIOGAS NORD - First Self-owned plant

+++ The Company's first biogas plant in Grimma, has started its production
on Dec. 2009
+++ Investments in other plants under discussion
+++ The Company's extensive range of services includes project development
and finance brokerage

Bielefeld, 27 January 2010. BIOGAS NORD AG has started operating its first
own biogas plant - a new business segment was added into the Company's
portfolio of activities. The Company took its first steps in this sector in
December 2009, connecting its first biogas plant to the grid. Construction
of the plant started on last summer with a total electrical power of 500
kW/h in the Eastern German town of Grimma. The plant, with a total
investment of a EUR 2.6 million, is owned in majority by BIOGAS NORD AG and
is operated in cooperation with the project management company and biogas
plant operator Bio.S Biogas.

'The company expects a long term source income by operating its own plants
and by investing in biogas projects. This is going to generate income for
us and for our partners long after the construction phase of a plant has
been completed,' explains Management Board member Ms. Drouianov. 'This
segment of operation is expected to generate more predictable and
sustainable income on the long run.'

'Investments in biogas projects and finance brokerage services for
construction projects have been added to the already extensive service
range of Biogas Nord AG. These additional services round off our product
range and put us in the position to offer potential customers a
comprehensive all-in-one package for implementing their biogas projects -
from the initial concept and project financing to plant commissioning and
support with daily operations,' explains Kai H. Roth, in charge of the
Project Development department of BIOGAS NORD Anlagenbau GmbH and the
Managing Director of the newly founded project company Bio.S Biogas Grimma
GmbH & Co. KG.

BIOGAS NORD's partner, Bio.S Group, already operates its own biogas plant
in the region and aims to use this partnership to further expand its
business in the biogas sector. 'The cooperation with BIOGAS NORD has
provided us with new opportunities for developing and implementing biogas
projects, particularly when it comes to financing,' says Jens Liebscher,
Managing Partner of Bio.S. and Managing Director of Biogas Grimma GmbH &
Co. KG.

Bio.S and BIOGAS NORD AG are currently planning other joint projects and
hope to implement at least one additional Project during this year.
