A strong year in a tough market

A strong year in a tough market

HiQ performed well in 2009, with strong cash flow and a very good financial
position. Net sales amounted to SEK 1,057.7 million and operating profit (EBIT)
to SEK 145.6 million, an operating margin of 13.8 percent. Cash flow from
operations amounted to SEK 139.5 million. The Board of Directors proposes to the
Annual General Meeting that SEK 1.10 per share, totalling around SEK 57 million,
is distributed to the shareholders through a split and compulsory redemption
procedure.

“Thanks to our positive attitude and hard work on adapting and developing HiQ in
2009 we are able to report a very strong result, despite the global recession
that has characterised the past year. At the end of the year we saw clear
effects of our work on strengthening and advancing our position and I am very
pleased with the fourth quarter,” says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ.

“In 2009 we continued to work on broadening HiQ's business both geographically
and across markets. The new office in Västerås increases our presence in the
Mälaren Valley and the formation of HiQ Öresund creates a platform for continued
growth in southern Sweden and Denmark. HiQ is today a significant player in the
Nordic market with a broad client base, a strong geographical presence and a
strong financial position,” says Lars Stugemo.

HiQ's projects are about helping our clients to use communication as a way to
develop, improve and become more streamlined. HiQ has been involved in the
development of systems, products and services for over 15 years. Clients include
leading players in various segments such as the public sector, industry,
telecoms, defence, gaming & entertainment and finance.

“New technology is emerging all the time, and this creates opportunities for new
types of companies and services. We are seeing increased demand for the
development of mobile and web applications in areas such as media and
entertainment, as well as in multimedia. We see this as an exciting area for HiQ
in the future,” says Lars Stugemo.

“I am incredibly proud of the great commitment and hard work invested by all our
colleagues to enable HiQ to remain the Nordic region's best IT and management
consultancy. Our employees are our most important asset and I am very pleased
that we were recently named the best employer in the IT consulting sector in
Universum Communications' annual survey. Naturally it is very important for us
to be able to attract good staff and it is very pleasing that we were able to
increase our rate of recruitment at the end of the year,” concludes Lars
Stugemo.
